A Gift of a Lifetime

One gift that my dad gave me when I was younger was an appreciation of reading. He gave me some money and we went to a book shop or something like that. I used the money to buy First Blood and Carrie. First Blood was a movie I enjoyed. I'm pretty sure my dad pushed me towards Carrie. I did not know Stephen King. These books gave me a greater love of books. After Carrie, I needed to read more King. One book that I loved from my early years was Night Shift. This book is a collection of short stories. If you have not read it, check it out. A lot of the stories are only a couple of pages long. Some of the stories have been made into movies or tv episodes. After these, I bought most of his books when they cam out. Either that or asked as gifts. I remember my mom chastising me for asking my Grandparents for one of his books. You'd think that would be a great gift. The gift of reading. Most of the time, I got clothes. Believe me, that was a gift I did not care for. I Feel Lost

 This week, my phone died.  I could not believe it.  I was looking on it and it goes black.  I have my wife look at it.  She gets it to come back to life and updates it to the Icloud.  I start looking at it again.  Then, it dies again.  This time it is for good.  She called TMobile.  They wanted me to enter passwords.  I could not remember them.  They were on the phone.  Eventually, I used my Ipod to access something.  Because it was under a plan we have, I am able to get a new phone.  Only catch is is that it is the same model, Iphone 11.  If I wanted the newest phone, I would have to pay $300.  I went with the same model.  Now I just need to get it.  I find myself lost without my phone.

The Long Walk

 I took my daughters to see The Long Walk .  I read this stroy when I was a teen.  It did not disappoint.  The guys who Star in this movie did a really good job.  It is not the feel good movie of the year .  It does make you feel for everyone who dies.  If you get emotional, it will cause tears.
