Wolfen

1981 was the year of the wolf. Howling and An American Werewolf in London came out. Wolfen also came out. This was a different kind of wolf movie. It is about a detective investigating a series of murders that have some kind of animalistic bend to it. It had a good cast of actors. It was led by Albert Finney. Gregory Hines, Tom Noonan and Edward James Olmos were also in it. I did like this movie. Unlike the other 2 movies, it is different. Hollywood has a tendency to do this. They get wind of a werewolf movie and then rush out their movie. In this case, we got some great movies that did not tread on the same paths. I remember when studios fought for a Christopher Columbus movie. Can you imagine studios fighting to tell that story? One tried to be more accurate than the other. If I am correct, Ridley Scott did one and the producers of Superman did the other. Wolfen Blu Ray
