The Blob

By -
In 1958, the original Blob came out. It follows an entity from outer space that falls into a small town and then starts devouring everything. It is up to some "teens" to save the day. It is funny to watch older movies and see what is supposed to be a teen. I discovered this as a kid through reruns of old movies. When there was nothing to do in the 80's, we would watch local TV. During the daytimes, movies, reruns of shows and soap operas were constantly played. The special effects in this mmovie were great for their time period. In 1988, the movie was remade for modern times. It added a darker version of the blob. The horror was less implied than shown. Frank Darabont wrote the screenplay. He went on to write and direct the adaptation of Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. Both movies have their merits in the horror genre. The Blob (1958) Buy Now The Blob (1988) Buy Now

Crazy Chickens

I'm sitting in my office at home.  All I can hear is the sound of chickens squawking. I think they are trying to encourage me to feed them.  I know when I go out, it will be like Ace Ventura and the animals flocking to him.  I do know they will squawk before laying an egg.  The roosters are non-stop with their calls!

I Feel Lost

By -
This week, my phone died.  I could not believe it.  I was looking on it and it goes black.  I have my wife look at it.  She gets it to come back to life and updates it to the Icloud.  I start looking at it again.  Then, it dies again.  This time it is for good.  She called TMobile.  They wanted me to enter passwords.  I could not remember them.  They were on the phone.  Eventually, I used my Ipod to access something.  Because it was under a plan we have, I am able to get a new phone.  Only catch is is that it is the same model, Iphone 11.  If I wanted the newest phone, I would have to pay $300.  I went with the same model.  Now I just need to get it.  I find myself lost without my phone.

Stock Manipulation

Trump is at it again.  Using his power to manipulate stocks.  Yesterday, while stocks were sinking, he announced that the war was almost over.   I doubt that.  He did this to play with the market.  Gas even went down a little.  He probably wishes gas could increase, and the market would do the same.  His family bought in early because of insider information.  I guess corruption is allowed as long as you don't cross the king.  Then, he'd have his puppet in DOJ go after them.
