Great Wall, Pandas, and Mcdonald's

Everyday, I see a new preview for a movie or show that Netflix is releasing.  I'm looking forward to it.  While studios have cut output, Netflix is stepping up.  They should think about releasing some of these movies at the theaters.  We all know they need some product.  What I see coming out is weak, minus a film or two.  The retreads are killing me.  It seems that Hallmark films and religious films are taking over.  I can't stand either.  If I want to be preached to, I'll go to church. 

The Dreadful award season is coming to an end.  We have to sit through the really big ones.  I'm sure the list will suck.  It will be white washed as usual.  Some early nods have disappeared.  Why?  Because their movies did not make lots of money.  I will not be tuning in.  I lost interest a long time ago. 

This morning, my daughter and I sweated through Just Dance.  I think we did pretty good.  I wanted to end early, but my daughter kept pushing me.  I think we lasted an hour.  We were both sweating.

If you like going to the movies, your options are going to shrink.  With Disney taking over Fox, I read that they want to shrink the amount of movies released.  It said they really want to focus on tentpole movies.  This could be a big opportunity for Netflix and Amazon.  They are doing those smaller movies that the studios do not care to take a risk on.  They could make a deal with theaters to play before they stream.  Theaters need product.  I wish Netflix would take them up on an offer.  That would help pay down their debt.
